Industrial Development: Meeting with Industrial Zone Management Committee

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than visited the Dakhina Industrial Zone on Saturday. He met with the Industrial Zone Management Committee, business owners, and local administrators to review ongoing industrial activities and development plans.

The Union Minister emphasized for expanding training courses in engineering, agriculture machinery maintenance, and electrical installations to create job opportunities for local youth. He also stressed the need to follow industrial zone laws and regulations to ensure orderly development, to coordinate with universities and colleges to involve students and teachers in practical industrial training and research and to ensure environmental protection, efficient production, and workforce development within the zone.

The meeting highlighted the need for collaboration among government departments, industrial committees, and local communities to develop the zone, increase local employment, and produce essential and substitute goods efficiently.
