Indonesian President strengthens Bilateral ties during India visit.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who is on a three-day visit to India, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House in New Delhi on Saturday.

Prime Minister Modi warmly welcomed President Subianto and held discussions on strengthening the relationship between the two nations. Earlier in the day, President Prabowo Subianto received a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi.

In his remarks, President Subianto described India as a ‘great friend’ and expressed gratitude, recalling India’s early recognition of Indonesia’s independence. As part of his visit, the Indonesian President also paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. President Subianto’s visit holds special significance as he will serve as the chief guest at India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations at Kartavya Path on January 26.
