Indonesian forces retrieve body of New Zealand pilot shot dead in Papua

The body of a New Zealand helicopter pilot shot dead by rebels in Indonesia's restive Papua region has been retrieved by the Indonesian Military on August 6th.

Glen Malcolm Conning, 50, a pilot for PT Intan Angkasa Air Service, was killed on Monday after landing in Papua with four Indonesian health workers and two children, all of whom survived. Commander of The Joint Defense Command Area (3) said that based on initial information, the rebels have fled to the east and the Indonesian military will continue to chase them in coordination with other forces.
