Indonesia Trip: Union Minister attends discussion and Conference

Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe attended a dinner hosted by the Indonesian Minister for Education, Culture, Research and Technology at St. Regis Hotel in Jakarta of Indonesia on the 25th of July.

And, on the 26th of July, the Union Minister attended a roundtable discussion by ASEAN Education Ministers for Early Childhood Care and Education Reform Policy in Southeast Asia. There, the Union Minister expressed his support to establish a network for the exchange of ideas.

In Myanmar, the law on early childhood care and development was enacted in 2014, and 5-year strategic plans are being implemented. Development and education will be available to every child in the future if the ASEAN member states cooperate.

And, the attendees issued and approved a statement on early childhood care, development and education. In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited the National Museum. He also gave a speech online at the 2023 ASEAN Higher Education Conference Webinar.

In his speech, the Union Minister focused on the role of government in linking maritime industry and education in a technology-based maritime trade sector.
