Speaking in a Press Conference on Global Geopolitics in Jakarta on Monday, the National Resilience Institute Governor said that Indonesia might gain more benefit from the international trade if BRICS accepted the country’s accession as its new member.

He said a membership in BRICS would help Indonesia to solve obstacles in the international trade and market its products to various countries without the need to establish bilateral partnerships.

According to the Governor, the BRICS which was established by Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, would help Indonesia to diversify its trade partners, and strengthen relations in trade and investments with fellow emerging countries.
