Indonesia and Viet Nam agree to escalate relation

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, Tô Lâm, signed several agreements to enhance cooperation between the two countries. These agreements include those in the defense and security sectors, which were signed following a bilateral meeting held between the two leaders at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday. 

Both Indonesia and Viet Nam also reaffirmed their support for stability and peace in the ASEAN region as the foundation for economic growth and the welfare of their people. General Secretary Tô Lâm also expressed the commitment of both countries to strengthening cooperation in areas that have developed substantially and effectively. 

Both countries are committed to supporting each other in national and international forums, including the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, and within the ASEAN region.
