India's Modi meets with Elon Musk

During an official visit to the United States, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with SpaceX and Tesla tycoon Elon Musk at Blair House, Washington. They discussed key issues, including Starlink's pending licence in India, as part of the PM's broader agenda to strengthen Washington-New Delhi technological cooperation.

The discussion also focused on space, mobility and innovation. Big decisions on technology and space matters have followed state visits by Modi in the past. India in 2023 signed the U.S. Artemis Accords - a set of guidelines for modern space and moon activities - following meetings in Washington between Modi and former U.S. president Joe Biden.
