Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated two major National Highway projects in Delhi on Sunday, with a combined cost of nearly USD 1.3 billion. The projects include the 10.1 km Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway and the Urban Extension Road-II, aimed at easing congestion and improving regional connectivity.

The inauguration also covered the Alipur to Dichaon Kalan stretch of Urban Extension Road-II and new links to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat, expected to reduce traffic on Delhi’s Inner and Outer Ring Roads. The developments are part of the government’s strategy to enhance travel efficiency and support Delhi’s broader urban development and modernization efforts.
