Indian Navy band performs at Papua New Guinea’s Independence celebrations

As part of the 50th Independence Day celebrations of Papua New Guinea, the Indian Navy Band took part in a grand military tattoo, showcasing India’s cultural and musical heritage.

In a post on X, the Indian Navy Spokesperson shared that the band presented a mix of martial tunes and Indian melodies, which received widespread appreciation from both the audience and dignitaries present.

The event saw participation from several other countries as well, coming together in a display of unity, discipline, and shared cultural values through music. This goodwill visit reflects India’s commitment to deepening engagement with Pacific Island nations under the Act East Policy, while promoting peace, stability, and inclusive growth across the Indo-Pacific region.
