Indian External Minister meets Sri Lankan President

Indian External Minister, Dr. Subramaniam Jaishankar said that the Indian government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi hopes that Sri Lanka will be back to normalcy under the leadership of Sri Lankan President Anura kumara Dissanayake, very soon.

He added that India will join hands with Sri Lanka in the re-building process, more than ever before, when he met Sri Lankan President.  Jaishankar also handed over the special message of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sent to Sri Lanka President, on this occasion. 

Sri Lanka President remembered with gratitude the co-operation shown by the government led by the Indian premier in the process of normalizing the daily lives of the people and joining on the first occasion to provide relief to the Sri Lankan people affected by cyclone, ‘ditwah’.
