Indian Chief of the Army Staff, General Dhiraj Seth, inspected the Guard of Honour, at Army Headquarters in Kathmandu, during his three-day official visit to Nepal.

During his three-day official visit to Nepal, General Seth laid a wreath at the Army Pavilion, paying tribute to the strong bonds shared by the armed forces of the two countries. Later on Monday, General Seth attended an Investiture Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan in Kathmandu, where President of Nepal Ram Chandra Paudel conferred upon him the honorary rank of General of the Nepali Army.

The conferment of the honorary rank reflects the longstanding tradition of mutual respect and close military ties between the two neighbouring countries. The visit underscored the longstanding and close defence partnership between India and Nepal.
