Indian Army Chief concludes official visit from Sri Lanka

Chief of the Indian army staff, General Upendra Dwivedi had left Columbo, the capital of Sri Lanka after discussions with senior Sri Lankan army officials on issues including training, professional military education and regional security.

He had arrived in Sri Lanka on an invitation extended by Sri Lankan army commander, lieutenant general Lasantha Rodrigo. During his stay in the island, he had traveled in many parts of the country and visited major army institutions. The Indian army chief had also donated to Sri Lanka army 20 modern cabs, ambulances and gifts.
