India and Bangladesh have agreed to initiate talks on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to advance their economic relations.

Indian Foreign Secretary announced that CEPA negotiations will commence soon. Additionally, a trial run of a goods train on the Bangladesh railway route from Gede Darshana to Haldibari-Chilahati cross-border interchange point is scheduled for next month, aimed at enhancing sub-regional connectivity, including with Bhutan.
