India, US soldiers conduct counterterrorism joint exercise

The United States Embassy in India said Indian and US soldiers participating in Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2026 are conducting counterterrorism training, small-arms drills and combined-arms manoeuvres to strengthen interoperability and readiness.

The 22nd edition of the bilateral exercise began on September 15 and is being conducted simultaneously at the Auli Foreign Training Node in Uttarakhand and the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan, with around 600 personnel from each side. The Ministry of Defence said the exercise is aimed at enhancing joint military capability.
