India-Sri Lanka maritime exercise ‘SLINEX-24’ commences

The 11th edition of the India-Sri Lanka bilateral maritime exercise, SLINEX-24, began on Tuesday in Visakhapatnam, India.

The four-day event will enhance maritime cooperation between the two nations. The bilateral maritime exercise will be conducted in two phases.

The first two days are reserved for the Harbour Phase, while the following two days will feature the Sea Phase.

On Monday, the Indian Navy welcomed the Sri Lankan Navy Ship SLNS Sayura. Launched in 2005, the SLINEX series plays a pivotal role in strengthening maritime collaboration between the two countries.
