India-Sri Lanka boost maritime cooperation

Indian Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Vessel ICGS Varaha and Fast Patrol Vessel ICGS Atulya arrived at Colombo, Sri Lanka on Saturday as part of an overseas deployment to the Indian Ocean Region, reaffirming India’s commitment to regional maritime cooperation.

The visit focuses on strengthening interoperability with the Sri Lanka Coast Guard through professional exchanges. The visit will also include cultural exchanges, sports interactions and community outreach activities, strengthening people-to-people ties.
