




India paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation on his 77th Death Anniversary on Thursday which is also known as Martyrs’ Day. Every year on 30th January, the nation honors the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, who was the guiding light of India’s struggle for independence.
This day is also observed as Martyrs’ Day or Shaheed Diwas, which marks a moment of reflection on the profound sacrifices made in the pursuit of freedom. In New Delhi, President Droupadi Murmu led the nation in paying floral tributes to the father of the nation at Rajghat.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also went to Rajghat and remembered Bapu by paying floral tributes there. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid a solemn tribute to the Mahatma at the Rajghat on this occasion.
