India passes landmark Sports Governance Bill

India’s lower House of the Parliament has passed the National Sports Governance Bill, marking a major overhaul of the country’s sports administration framework. The bill aims to streamline and regulate the administration of sports across the country. It also paves the way for the formation of National Olympic Committee, National Paralympic Committee, and dedicated sports federations for each recognized sport.
