India marks a milestone in indigenous rocket artillery programme

India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully tested the Pinaka Long Range Guided Rocket (LRGR–120) with a strike range of 120 km, marking a significant milestone in the country’s indigenous rocket artillery programme.

The maiden flight test, conducted on Monday at the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, demonstrated all in-flight manoeuvres, with the rocket hitting its target with precision. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, calling the development a “game changer” that will enhance the capabilities of the Armed Forces.
