India launches E-Medical Visa and advances economic talks with Bangladesh

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced an e-medical visa service for Bangladeshi patients seeking treatment in India, enhancing healthcare access.

Both nations agreed to start talks on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to boost economic ties. During a joint meeting, the Bangladeshi Prime Minister praised India as a major neighbor, trusted friend, and regional partner. The long-pending Teesta water-sharing pact was also discussed. Modi announced that India will send a technical team to Bangladesh soon.
