India celebrates Tribal Pride Day with national tributes

In New Delhi, President Droupadi Murmu paid floral tributes at the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda at PrernaSthal in Parliament Premises. The solemn ceremony highlighted India’s recognition of tribal heroes and their enduring contributions to the nation’s history.

Vice President and Lower House Speaker also joined in paying respects, underscoring the collective commitment of India’s leadership to honour tribal icons. Their presence reflected the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by tribal freedom fighters who stood at the forefront of revolutionary movements during India’s struggle for independence.
