India is celebrating Constitution Day on Monday, marking the adoption of the Constitution of India by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949.
The Constitution came into effect on January 26, 1950. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the nation on this milestone day, also known as Samvidhan Diwas.
This day honors the architects of the Constitution, which laid the foundation for India’s democracy. Seventy-five years ago, in the Central Hall of Parliament, India’s Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution, establishing the framework for the world’s largest democracy.
