India becomes largest bullet train track slab manufacturer

India has become home to the world’s largest track slab manufacturer producing complex track maintenance machines for bullet trains.

In the city of Vadodara in the Indian state of Gujarat, India caters state of the art track slabs for bullet trains developed as per the Japanese standards and technology. India’s Union Railway Minister inspected the project manufacturing factory on Saturday.

The Austrian Plasser factory established in 2019 has now developed to become the largest manufacturer of track maintenance machines. With skilled labour, and developed infrastructure, India is at forefront with its aim of “Make in India”.
