India and Australia recently marked the second anniversary of the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA), which has fostered growth and expanded opportunities across multiple sectors.

The agreement has improved market access for Indian exporters and benefited Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, farmers and job seekers. In 2023-24, Indian exports saw a 14% growth, with significant gains in IT, business and travel services. The ECTA has also introduced new post-study work and Work Holiday visas, strengthening people-to-people connections between the two countries.
