India’s Prime Minister visits Rajasthan

The Prime Minister offered prayers at the famous Karni Mata temple in Deshnok town of the state. 
The 16th century temple is known for its white rats called ‘Kaba’. According to the local legend spotting a white rat is considered to be auspicious. Deshnok falls under Bikaner district which is strategically located on the western front sharing border with Pakistan. Prime Minister Modi is the first prime minister to visit the temple.
