India’s Former PM Manmohan Singh Passes Away

India mourns the loss of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. He passed away at the age of 92 after battling a long sickness.

He breathed his last at All India Institute of Medical Science in New Delhi on Thursday. Manmohan Singh played a key role in the economic liberalization of India in the 1990s.

A first class graduate from Cambridge, Manmohan went on to hold many governmental positions in India, finally becoming the Prime Minister on 22nd May, 2004.
