Inauguration of New Patient Ward: Surgical initiative at Pyay People’s Hospital

A two-storey new patient ward was opened at Nattalin People’s Hospital on March 26th. As a gesture to commemorate the opening of the new building, surgeries for patients with cleft lips and palate were carried out at Pyay People’s Hospital from March 25th to 27th.

Union Minister for Health, Dr. Thet Khaing Win, visited the hospital on the 26th to oversee the operation process and provided nutrition and gifts to the children. Altogether, 38 patients were provided surgery services during the three-day operation.

During 2024, 187 patients with cleft lips and palate from Nay Pyi Taw, Maway, NyaungU, Myitkyina, Bago, Malamyine and Pyay were provided surgery by the specialists during the field trips to respective regions and states.
