Inaugural Flight Celebration: Yangon-Mandalay-Novosibirsk flight service launched

With the aims to visit more Russian tourists through Myanmar-Russia direct flight network and to boost trade and investment between the two countries, Myanmar Airways International (MAI) inaugurated Yangon-Mandalay-Novosibirsk flight service on Tuesday.

The launching ceremony was held at the Yangon International Airport with an attendance of Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Thet Thet Khine. First, Deputy Minsiter for Transport and Communications U Aung Kyaw Tun gave an opening remark and Deputy Head of the Russian Embassy Mr. Pavel Klapukov and a representative of MAI extended greetings respectively.

After that, the Deputy Minister and attendees formally opened Yangon-Mandalay-Novosibirsk flight service of MAI. Yangon-Mandalay-Novosibirsk round trip service will be operated regularly every Tuesday and Saturday.

Afterwards, Union Minister Dr Thet Thet Khine viewed around information counter of the Minsitry of Hotels and Tourism opened at the Yangon International Airport to provide destinations of Myanmar to domestic and foreign visitors.
