Improved Healthcare Services: Kidney Transplants and Oral Treatments

Union Minister for Health Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win, together with officials, visited Yangon Specialist Hospital (500-bed) on Saturday. They inquired about the patients undergoing kidney transplants on August 23rd.

The Union Minister later met with the professors and specialists, congratulating them on the successful kidney transplant operations. He also emphasized the need to continue striving for liver transplant surgeries and to provide practical training in transplant operations to the new generation of doctors.

Furthermore, the Union Minister held discussions with officials from the Myanmar Dental and Oral Medical Council. They discussed matters on appointing dentists in every township, conducting monthly field trips to remote areas, collaborating with foreign experts to provide cleft lips and palate operations, and implementing modern diagnostic methods to extend treatment options.
