Impossible to turn a blind eye to humanitarian crisis in Venezuela, says Colombia's Duque

Colombian President Ivan Duque said on Monday  that Latin American governments cannot be in a "passive place'' in the midst of what he called a "humanitarian crisis " in Venezuela. U.S. Senator Rick Scott said the save harbour for enemies in Venezuela represents a clear and present danger to the national security of the citizens of the United States and our allies in south and Central America.

He also said the murder of young children in Venezuela had to stop. The Americas Summit is Concordia's flagship regional convening in Latin America, focusing on issues across the region as well as specific to Colombia.
