Implementation of Second Phase: Prevention &response to conflict-related sexual violence

National Level Committee on Prevention and Response to Conflict-Related Sexual Violence held its meeting at the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement on Friday afternoon.
At the meeting, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win in his capacity as Chairman of the Committee on prevention and response to Conflict-Related Sexual Violence stressed that Conflict-Related Sexual Violence-CRSV preventive measures are set to be conducted by region/state/district/township level women committee to raise public awareness on CRSV and to respond the complaints more effectively.
The implementation of National Action Plan on Prevention and Response to Conflict-Related Sexual Violence were conducted from July to October 2023 in 15 Regions and States including Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory. He added that report on tasks implementation of second phase, 2nd mid-year term from 10th of May to 10th of November 2023 are being compiled to submit to the State Administration Council Office, and urged all to provide necessary suggestions on amending and approval of the report.
Then, the work implementations on the decisions made in previous (3/2023) meeting and (1/2024) meeting were presented. It was followed by a disucssion on amending the draft of the second mid-year term report.
