Impact on Education Facilities: Severe quake damaged the eduational instututions

On 9th April, Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe and officials visited No.10 and No.11 Basic Education High Schools in Zabuthiri Township and inspected the damaged areas of the schools.

During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed on rapid implementation of the renovation measures as per priority and timely completion of the restoration of damaged classrooms and school buildings to be readied for 2025-2026 academic year.

The Union Minister cordially met with the earquake affected teachers and families, gave words of encouragement and coordinated necessities. He also warmly met with the teachers attending the 2024-2025 Diploma in Education and Pedagogy at No.11 Basic Education High School. On arrival at Naypyitaw State Academy, the Union Minister inspected the condition of damaged classrooms and construction of new convocation hall.

Subsequently, the Union Minister made inspection and coordinated necessities for the construction of temporary buildings for the staff and families and provision of household utilities.
