Immigration Issues: Meeting with Chinese Minster for Public Security

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing on Tuesday received a Chinese delegation led by Member of the State’s Council and the Minster for Public Security Mr. Wang Xiaohong.

The meeting at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw focused on the Myanmar’s delegation’s study tour in China for e-ID system, discussion on border affairs cooperation, closer cooperation on immigration issues, opening of more border gates, Director General level meetings on immigration both in China and Myanmar, China’s assistance for Myanmar’s census collection and implementation of the e-ID system, cooperation between Myanmar, China, Thailand and Laos for stability and peace in border areas and eradication of illegal entry/exit, drug dealing, human Trafficking and online gambling and bilateral cooperation.
