Immigration and Population: MOIP Union Minister tours in Yangon Region

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing, accompanied by officials, visited the Record Office of the Department of National Registration and Citizenship in Yangon on the morning of January 25th.

In the meeting room, the relevant officials explained about the ongoing processes of digital record keeping for personal biography, future plans and necessary requirement. The Union Minister gave necessary instructions upon the report.

Then,  the Union Minister viewed the digital record keeping processes for personal data and evidences, arrangements for  proper lighting and ventilation, and renovation of record rooms.

The Union Minister also inspected the record keeping processes at the warehouses under the ministry in Thaketa Township. They also inspected the condition of office building and record room, performance of staff, the process of issuing Unique ID by collecting biomateric data.

Then, the Union Minister inspected the Prayers Hall of the Ministry in Bahan Township and met with the staff who have been displaced from the District and Township  Administrator Offices of Southern Rakhine State.

At the meeting, the Union Minister urged them to prepare for providing services to those from related areas of their assigned duties. The Union Minister also inspected the opening of the temporary office at the Prayers Hall, dormitory arrangement for the staff, availability of water and power supply and condition of catering area.
