Immigration and Population: MoIP Union Minister inspected immigration department

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing accompanied by the concerned officials visited the Entry, Re-entry and Residence Permit Division, Department of Foreigner Affairs under the Department of Immigration and heard reports on implementation processes of entry visa and extension of residence permit for the foreign nationals in Myanmar, work undertakings on residence permission at Thilawa Port and Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC), task implementing of permanent residence permit system and registration of foreigners.

Then, the Union Minister supplemented for the assistances for the smooth process of entry visa and extension of residence permit of the foreign nationals in Myanmar and foreigner detaining in line with the rules and regulations. Then, the Union Minister inspected the work processes of entry visa and extension of residence permit for foreigners in Myanmar and provided necessary instructions.

On arrival at the Department of National Registration and Citizenship, the Union Minister heard reports on the difficulties and requirements in practicing digital record system and gave necessary instructions.  

Then, the Union Minister inspected the recording process of the old national registration records and credentials by using digital record system and gave instructions. Then, the Union Minister inspected records retention condition, air ventilation system, water supply and fire safety of the department and coordinated the requirements.
