Immigration and Population: Inspection the NRC cards issuing process in Magway

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin along with the officials made inspection at Magway Township Administration Office under the Ministry of Immigration and Population on August 13.

After inspecting on issuing National Registration Cards to those who don’t have NRC cards under the phase 3 of Pankhin Project, conducting identity matching using e-ID Server and collecting Biometric data, the Chief Minister heard reports by the officials and cordially greeted the locals. 

According to phase 3 of Pankhin Project, the Magway Region Immigration and Population Department is making efforts for citizen rights and socio-economic development of the locals in the region by issuing NRC cards to those who conform with norms.

By collaborating with regional government, implementations of issuing NRC cards are underway to every 18-year-old citizens from individual household of wards and villages in the region. The issuing of NRC cards will be extended till December.

The ministry has completed 100 percent in phase 1 of Pan Khin Project and over 90 percent for phase 2. Plans are underway to issue NRC cards to all citizen who turn 18-year-old under the phase 3 of the project.
