Immigration and Population: e-ID process, meeting with temporary displaced staff

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing visited Moe Thiri garment factory in Pobbathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

During the visit, the Union Minister inspected processes of national registration cards issuance, biographic and biometric data collecting and unique ID numbers issuance for the e-ID system to those at the factory and living nearby.

At the Immigration and Population Training School in Dekkhinathiri Township, the Union Minister and party met with departmental staff who have been assigned for duties in Northern Shan State before the terrorist incidents and temporary displaced departmental staff from Northern Shan State fleeing the incidents.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister and officials briefed the Union Minister on situations of the temporary displaced departmental staff and accommodation arrangement for them, and the Union Minister gave necessary instructions and provided rice and cooking oil.

Then, the Union Minister inspected preparations for these temporary displaced departmental staff, gave necessary instructions and fulfilled the requirements submitted by the staff.
