Illegal trade: Timbers, goods, vehicles seized

Under the supervision of the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee, illegal trade is effectively prevented and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

On 2nd August, 44 sacks of MSG which can hold 25 Kilograms per sack was captured near U-To Creek, Chantha Town, Pathein Township of Ayeyawady Region.

On 4th August, 1200 bottles of soil Bean oil which can hold one liter per bottle at Chaung-Kuu-Nge Village in Myeik Township of Taninthayi Region and 4716 containers of Lactasoy soy milk at Shwe ThaRi bus terminal in Myeik Township, on 5th August, 4.956 tons of teakwood and Mazda Canter which carried those timbers near Htaukkyant military cemetary in Mingalardon Township of Yangon Region, Honda Fit vehicle without license at Yadana Bridge combined checkpoint in Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region,

81600 containers of Carabao supplementary soft drink made in Thailand and Man Tractor Head and its trailor Myit-Nge checkpoint in Mandalay Region, three kinds of goods including 42500 bottles of Livovitan-D made in Thailand and a Mitsubishi Fuso Truck which carried them near Zee-Chan Village of Sint-Kaing  Township at No (386) mile post on old Yangon-Mandalay Highway, 16 kinds of goods including 390 kilograms of plastic drinking water bottle and a Nissan Diesel Truck which carried them were seized.

Therefore, 12 arrests (estimated value of 348.380 million Kyats) were made on 2nd, 4th and 5th August, 2024, according to the committee.
