Illegal trade: industrial materials, foodstuffs and vehicles confiscated

An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.

five kinds of goods including 400 kilogrammes of cotton fabric printed and 20 blocks of rubber from a Nissan Diesel truck heading to Yangon from Myawady in Hpa-an township on 2 Augusts, a combined on-duty team conducted inspections at the 4th-Mile combined checkpoint in Taunggyi, a Fuso Diesel truck headed to Taunggyi from Kengtung, carrying 22 kinds of goods including a set of amusement equipment, 85 kinds of goods including 413 kilogrammes of Trixon master antenna television satellite and 10 lighting poles at the Myanmar Industrial Port Terminal and a Nissan diesel truck carrying three kinds of goods near Zayetkwin village on No 2 highway were nabbed.

A total of 11 arrests were made on 2 August, with an estimated value of K793,870,506, as reported by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.
