Illegal trade: Industrial materials, consumer goods, vehicles seized

An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.  

On 4th of July a Hino truck carrying empty oil jerry cans and two kinds of goods including a Ling Yu brushless AC synchronous generator heading to Mandalay from Myitkyina at Letpanhla-Singu temporary checkpoint, a Higer express bus carrying 800 kilogrammes of Dry buffalo meat travelling from Yangon to Lashio at the 16th-Mile Kyaukchaw checkpoint and a Mitsubishi Canter carrying two kinds of goods including 1,600 gallons of domestic diesel and an iron water tank at No 484 in Yintawsan village, Amarapura township were seized.

On 5th of July, impounded 840 bottles of Ding Fong energy drink and 174 cartons of snow fungus at warehouse in Yepu village, Myawady township, two kinds of goods including 4,180 kilogrammes of Kanko extension join box from a Nissan tractor head and a trailer heading to Yangon from Myawady near Famous fuel station in Phayagyi town and 24 kinds of goods including 145 kilogrammes of Miaoai tissue from a Hyundai bus, two kinds of goods including 2,700 bottles of Lactasoy soy milk from a Toyota HiAce minibus heading to Bago from Myawady at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint, two kinds of goods including 1,920 litres of Axle oil at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint and three kinds of goods including 18,000 kilogrammes of iron rod from a Nissan Diesel tractor head and a trailer near Natsingusay fuel station were captured.

As a result, a total of 19 arrests were made on 4 and 5 July, with an estimated value of 496.325 million Kyats, as reported by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.
