Illegal trade: industrial materials, car parts and vehicles confiscated

An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.

Over 300,000 kilogrammes of pre-painted galvanized iron sheets in coil from 11 containers at the Thilawa Special Economic Zone on 12 July, 34 kinds of goods including 80 sport lights/down lights and 10,600 electric LED bulbs and three kinds of goods including 36,000 electrical taps from three containers at the Myanmar Industrial Port on 31 July, 10 kinds of goods including three pneumatic springs and an air flaps upper from luggage at the Yangon International Airport (Import Desk) on 31 July,  

A Foton Auman tractor head and a trailer, headed to Mandalay from Muse, carrying three kinds of goods including 4,000 kilogrammes of Spoked & Nipple bicycle spare parts at the 26/4 Milepost on Mandalay- Muse road and a Yutong bus headed to Nay Pyi Taw from Muse, carrying nine kinds of goods including 60 kilogrammes of Chinese pear and 1340 USB chargers at the 27/1 Milepost on Mandalay- Muse road on 30 July,

A Nissan diesel, a Mitsubishi Fuso and an Isuzu Giga, headed to Muse from Mandalay, carrying 350 bags of rice and 690 bags of broken rice at the Tollgate checkpoint near the bypass in Lashio Township were confiscated.

Therefore, 23 arrests (estimated value of 841.993 Kyats) were made on 12, 30 and 31 July, according to the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.
