Illegal Trade: Illegal vehicle and goods confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the27th and 28th of April, illegal vehicle and goods including foodstuffs, passenger lift elevator complete sets, centrifugal pumps and tyres worth over 286 million Kyats were confiscated in Hlinethaya (East) township, at the Ywathagyi tollgate, at the Hteedan Port, at the MITT Port, at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint and at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
