An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised  by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.

On 8 June, the Combined Inspection Team led by Bago Region Customs Department captured foodstuffs that showed no official documents from a vehicle heading from Myawady to Yangon between the Sittoung Bridge and Nyaungkhashay.

On 9 June and 10 June, the Forest Department team seized illegal timbers in Toungoo and Pyay Districts.

Similarly, on 9 June, detergent powder at an approximate value of 12.5 million Kyats that showed no official documents was captured from a vehicle at the Chinshwehaw border gate. Vehicle tyres that were not declared in the Imported Declaration were seized from a truck heading from Myawady to Yangon at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Checkpoint.

Therefore, six arrests (approximately 33.168 million Kyats) were made on 8, 9 and 10 June, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
