Illegal trade :Illegal timbers, crude oil, vehicles confiscated

An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.

A total of 0.54 tonne of illegal timbers near Kywaldagah  protected forest in Pwintbyu township and a total of 2.786 tonnes of illegal timbers in Thettawshay Ward in Pwintbyu  township and 912 gallons of illegal crude oil from a Skat vehicle near Kyaukpal-Minbu road in Minbu (Saku) township on 25 August, 47,200 kilogrammes of pigment powder coating at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint on 28 August, a Toyota Voxy car carrying 25 bags of AFM smoked chicken sausage and 25 bags of smoked crispy skin Vienna chicken sausage cheese filling near Myaynigone traffic light in Myawady township and an Isuzu Giga truck carrying six kinds of goods including 430 hair clippers and 1,000 kilogrammes of photo paper at the Kamaukkasin combined checkpoint in Hpa-an Township on the same day were captured.

Therefore, 15 arrests (estimated value of 130.045 Kyats) were made on 25 and 28 August, according to the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.
