Illegal Trade: Illegal products, jade and timber confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th of March, illegal rattan and teak products, jade, mini projects, foodstuffs, gas cartridge butane and timber worth over 280 million Kyats were confiscated at the Asia World Container Checkpoint and at the Oriental inspection gate as well as in Muse Township and at the Mayan chaung Permanent Checkpoint as well as in Taungoo and Thayawaddy districts. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
