Illegal Trade: Illegal jade stones, goods, timber confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade. On the 16th and 17th of April, illegal jade stones and goods including professional wireless intercoms as well as timber and firewood worth over 48 million Kyats were confiscated near the mile post no.

31 in Mandalay Region and at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint as well as in Yedashe, Letpandan, Thaekone, Oatpho, Oatdwin, Lewei, Tutkone and Ottarathiri townships. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
