Illegal Trade: Illegal Items Worth Over 160 Million Kyats Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On April 1, illegal machines, electrical products and vehicle spare parts worth over 2 million Kyats and illegal electrical products, windshields and clothes worth over 150 million Kyats were seized at the Yangon International Airport and Myanma Industrial Port.

On April 3, illegal timber worth over 6 million Kyats were seized in Banmauk and Minhla townships. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
