Illegal Trade: Illegal goods worth over 778 million Kyats confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the15th of May, illegal goods including stainless-steel pipes, teak parquet, solar panels, computer keyboards, porcelain tiles, ceramic tiles, motorcycle chains and sprocket sets and necklaces worth over 778 million Kyats were confiscated at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint and in Kyaukchaw villageas well as at the Shinpyu checkpoint, at the Hteedan Port container checkpoint, at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint,at the Myanmar Industrial Port Terminal container checkpoint and at the Yangon International Airport.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
