Illegal Trade: Illegal goods worth over 353 million Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of March, illegal goods including space robots (toy), textiles, laces,  tendocare tablets, power supplies, portable BT speakers with wireless microphones, refreshing towels, mobile phones and palm oil worth over 353 million Kyats were confiscated at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint, at the Yangon International Airport, at the Yepu permanent checkpoint, at the Myanmar Industrial Port Terminal container checkpoint, at the Sinphyu checkpoint and at the Nyaungkhashay X-ray Station.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
