Illegal Trade: Illegal goods worth over 253 mil Kyats confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 2nd of May, illegal goods including motorbike spare parts, power banks, fans, iPhone handsets and ultra-compact cotton pads worth over 253 million Kyats confiscated at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint, at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint, at the Yepu permanent checkpoint, at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint and at the Thanlwin Bridge combined checkpoint as well as in Phayagyi township.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
